Content: Makoto goes wandering, as she seems to do when she's bored, and decided to wander near this new apartment she's heard of.
Location: Streets near Bryant Park Hotel.
Time of day: Early/mid afternoon

Kaede had not yet been able to meet up with her companions, although so far she had at least been able to make contact with Negi, Asuna, and Kotarou.

She decided that before she did anything she would have to locate some weapons, especially since her ninja techniques were still far weaker than they should have been. Luckily she'd managed to track down a store that sold camping and wilderness survival equipment, and had proceeded to procure several knives. They weren't really what she was used to, and she wouldn't be able to throw them correctly, but they were better than nothing.

She was just exiting the store when she noticed a girl with long brown hair walking down the street. Deciding to be polite, Kaede waved to the stranger. After all, one never knew what good could come of a chance meeting.

Makoto had mostly been focusing on keeping an eye on the different alleyways that were connected to the street, remembering that the crabs liked living in the darker areas of town. When she turned her eyes back towards the main road, to see where she was and decide where to turn, she saw a woman with yellowish-brown hair, and she looked like she was somewhere around Makoto's age.

Waving, Makoto walked over to where the girl was, being polite and not just walking past her as if she hadn't seen the other girl at all.

"Good afternoon."

Kaede bowed in greeting before saying, "Hello there. I'm sorry for bothering you, I just happened to see you coming down the street. My name is Kaede Nagase."

"It's not a bother at all. I'm just out for a walk. My name is Makoto Kino." Makoto had decided to adopt the English way of introducing for now, made things a bit more simple to deal with.
