The Not!Central Park Group Plans
Okay guys, things are a bit up in the air as of me writing this, and unfortunately I'm going to be gone babysitting from 4-9pm EST. So I'm going to leave what I can here, and hope we can have it all finished being hashed out when I get back so we can get this show on the road. XD I hope.
SO. Here's how things will go down to start with.
Laharl's gonna send Etna out with some notes as well as her own charming self to go see who she can round up for a meeting. This might well be largely word-of-mouth. We'll place it at the library hotel for simplicity. Considering how small a time frame they've got, it might be the kind of 'be there in an hour' type message, lol.
OKAY. NEXT. Things they'd need: Communication. They needs radios to listen in on the Central Park group, since knowing what's going on there is important to their mission. Like.. if both monsters show up there, it'd be good to know a boat attempt is less likely to go bad. XD
They'd need to use code since who knows who's listening in, and also Hitsugaya I'm pretty sure could use way of binding 77, which is a communication kidou.
Binoculars :|b Big important for scanning the sea coast and for the islands if they choose to check those out.

The meeting would involve trying to figure out just WHERE to search. Hitsugaya will be breaking out maps and his knowledge from Harry, as well as fishing for whatever leads those coming can give. If any of your characters would suggest something specific, please tell me! We have a lot of ooc ideas floating around, but we need to narrow them down to things specifically could be picked out.
1. Ship search. Sora felt he'd been on one before when he was taken, making this a very big lead. Are there any ships out there? There's a possibility with the rukus in central park if there is any that have been hiding behind land or out at sea, they might have to come in for a closer look and stand a chance at being spotted. If we can spot one they'd have to see if the could get close to get aboard. Or blow a hole in the side and cause the ship to start sinking 8D
And this easily can tie into...
2. Islands. Governors Island is apparently of interest and I also propose Ellis Island being another potential spot to check out if the coast is clear.
3. Tunnels. They've been looked at before, do we go back? Holland is closer to the lower coast, so if yes, that might be the one of choice in event it's a bust or they need them to get to the coast.
4. The good ol' subway. There's no doubt movements and stuff has been happening down there, but the problem is where do we check now? It's a bit of a needle in a haystack, and I think searching new areas is better than old ones, unless there's any one particular spot that could be potentially reused. If we were going to check any I'd suggest the southest ones. There's a few down there, other than Bowling Green.
Basically they have a lot of places to look, and limited time to do so. And they need to stay all close enough and in good enough contact, that if any find something, others can follow, because, especially if they DO manage to find the prisoners somehow, mounting a rescue would need more backup than just a handful.
OKAY. So moving on... I have a rough idea how I'm going to break down the teams, but keeping in mind these options, which would your characters vote for and which would they be best suited for? Abilities that could lend to this?
Laharl has his long distance attacks, Hitsugaya can make ice as well as has some limited amounts of his shinigami abilities flash steps etc. Prier's mostly all punch so would be best in a situation that might involve crabs.. and I really wanted to do something with poor Luke. He's a swordsman plus has his hyperressonance to some will-prolly-pass-out-if-used degree.
