SLIGHTLY TACKY POST: Fic Masterlist

Jan 20, 2020 11:46

Melusinahp:
Is your masterlist organised with new fics at the top or new fics at the end?

Daisee:
Masterlist? I don't have a masterlist. I'm edging toward having unsuitable employee list - unstable, all over the place, and prone to not turning up where expected.UPDATE 04/21/15 ( Read more... )

masterlist, links, fic

Very pleased to hear that!

Excellent point. I got tired of fiddling with it and said to myself "Self, you are being perfectionist. Just get the damn thing up there." So I did.

That's what I get for listening to myself :-DD

Ooh, I must read those!

I don't have a master list either. I have a B7 site, memories, and AO3, so everything's a bit spread around.

It works! I have launched my evil plan! made my fic easier to find! (edit: interesting - the lj hook function doesn't appear to work when posting comments)

They just seem like a really good idea. I remember going through your memories looking for more of your fic. Still not sure I've read it all, so it'd be brilliant if you put a masterlist up as your fic deserves an even wider audience.

No idea who first posted a masterlist, but they spread like wildfire, and for good reason I think. It's taken me ages to go through all the fic of mine I could find, but I bet there's still many that are missing from the list.

Keep meaning to check out AO3. Do you think it's worth the effort of archiving there?

Everything B7 I've written is on my site, including all the LJ drabbles and shorts which are on the LJ fiction page.

Everything not B7 is on AO3 (along with most of the B7).

A master list in my case would have over 300 stories in it. :-P

[Edit] Oh and LJ Hook works fine for me in comments; I added those links with it.

Sorry, I didn't answer about AO3. Yes, I think it's definitely worthwhile archiving there. It's not likely to go away, it's very easy to upload to and edit, it's easily searchable, and you can give a link to people for all your fiction that they can filter however they like, like this.
