Canterbury University library reports that millions of books were shaken off the shelves and are now in complete disarray.

I've seen pictures of the toppled shelves (went down like dominoes)! The university is closing for a week to clean that and all the other mess up, though the buildings themselves seem fine.

It made me wonder about Christchurch Public, and how that fared. Can't have been good for all the archival material.

But it's good to hear the buildings got through okay. Any word on the university cat?

I have no idea! However a friends' many cats all survived hurricanes in Florida so I imagine it's fine, though maybe a little scared. I was also wondering about the cat at the hotel Greg usually stays at.
