Our rubbish collectors just went past and emptied the rubbish bins.

They're only one and a half weeks late, and dumping the recycling in with the rubbish...

Good grief! How on earth do they manage to break a robust rubbish bin?

Ah. Snap-frozen rubbish bins. Mr Birdseye would be proud.

Oh, I've seen our bin men doing that. I sent the council a strongly-worded letter!

Yes, I feel a strongly-worded letter coming on as well. Toying with the idea of also sending one to the local rag, as this gets our council's attention much better, but not sure I'm yet ready to be one of those grumpy old people who complains to their newspaper about the state of our rubbish collections! :-D

Dear Mr Editor,

I am Appalled! and also Outraged! at the state of rubbish collections in Our Area!

In My Day rubbish collectors were very nice people, concerned for the environment and often helped Little Old Ladies across the street.

Now they are all pot-smoking, hippie punks who break Dolorispea's rubbish bins and are obviously behind the conspiracy to convince people Global Warming does not exist!

Whatever happened to Good Manners? What is become of this new generation? Why can I no longer buy gramaphone records?

Yours,
Disgusted
Of Tunbridge Wells.
