Why is it snowing again? I'm so tired of having to shovel and wear boots. It's the wrong kind of snow, too, dry and flaky. You still have to shovel, but it's useless as far as snowballs and snowmen. Not that you could go outside for any length of time. It's 21 degrees but wind chill makes it 10. Yeesh. Nice weather for my mom to come back to. She's ( Read more... )

Is Kaden already 4 years old? I know he's older than Andrew, but I can't remember by how much. I like that food chart. I should do something like that. Andrew isn't such a bad eater, but he's mostly a meat and bananas kind of guy.

He'll be 4 in May. I know what you mean about the "meat and bananas." Kaden would eat nuts and raisins or yogurt at every meal if he could. That's why I did the chart!

LOL! That's for his videos. He seemed to think he could watch the entirety of the Polar Express 3x a day "But I can have another video after my nap!" so I made the bar to illustrate to him that 3 x 30 minutes = 1 1/2 hours, or ONE viewing of the Polar Express. Now we set the timer whenever he sits down in front of the TV and it's been working very well.

It's not a chore at all to keep the food chart going. Kaden likes putting the stickers on, and it's a big help to me to see what he's eaten so I know what to give him.

Mostly I've made stickers for the food he already eats (snap peas, carrots, cucumber, beets, oranges, berries, banana, apple, nuts, chicken, tofu, beef, bread, rice, crackers, milk, yogurt, cheese, etc) I have doubles of things he eats alot. The thing that's key is that each square is a serving. So each orange square represents 2 oz of fruit, each yellow is 4 oz of dairy, each red is 2 oz of protein, etc. That's helping me measure his meals, too.
