Buh. I knew this was a contributing factor as soon as I saw the title.

From this article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13838594/?GT1=8307 discussing the growing (and alarming) numbers of premature babies (1 in 8 in the US) the Institute for Medicine recommends:

lol @ "doink"

I seriously think most kids are "non-eaters." I don't know a single three year old who eats the way you would expect them to.

Seriously! I do think the whole cycle is endemic of the medical philsophy that birth is inherently dangerous. Not so. For 5% of women who have high risk pregnancies or other health factors, yes, it's probably the most dangerous thing they'll do. But for a healthy woman with a healthy fetus? It's more dangerous to go into a hospital for that woman than to give birth.

Yay for Doob's good behavior! Perhaps he just isn't hungry sometimes? He seems to eat quite well when he's actually asking for food.

He definitely goes through spurts. Some days he eats everything, some days he won't even touch his grilled cheese. But yeah, catching him when he's hungry is key. It makes such a difference!

I would have probably gone after the quesadilla and eaten it anyway ;o)

Had I been there to witness the flight, I would definitely have rescued and eaten it anyway. But, I was in the water and when I came back up I found it on the ground, with an ant on it. So that was that. :(
