Comfort Food

I don't know how your weather is, but here, it's quite chilly.  A good night for some comfort food!  This is a recipe passed along to me after much cajoling.  It is a wonderful dish, easy, and could be made with turkey rather than chicken if you prefer.  Also, for serving a crowd, it does well transferred to a crock-pot after baking to keep it hot.

Me, too! It reminds me of Thanksgiving, which is the Comfort Food Holiday, IMO. ;)

Agreed! Sadly, neither of my boys will eat it so I don't get to make it often :(

I do this, but add broccoli and add a bit of cheddar on top. :-)

It freezes well, too. Sometimes I double it and freeze one for later.

first... if you had a snuggie you wouldn't be cold... just sayin.

second and most important comment... i kind of do something similar in that i take chicken breast chunks, with a can of cream of chicken soup and a can of cream of asparagus (or whatever other cream soup you want - your choice), broth, and then corn, peas, green beans - veggie of your choice. throw it all into a pan to cook and then either put it on top of or mix in with rice or noodles.

Uh- if YOU had a Snuggie, you wouldn't joke about it. You'd worship it's snuggness and practicality.

I think the addition of veggies would even go great with the stuffing. I'm definitely going to try that next time. I think it would be a good way to sneak in extra nutrition for the rugrats. =)

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did. My mom had to cut 8 inches off them and hem them. (I'm 5'3", it's designed to accomodate a 6'3" 250 lb. man, I think.) Now, she only did the first Snuggie. My other one is still in the original packaging. You know, with the reading light.
