From what I've heard so far the Silent Hill movie sounds like it's going to be pretty decent, certainly better than the videogame movies that have been coming out lately (Bloodrayne, anyone?).

That said, I'm a big yeller coward who was terrified by the SH4 trailer and so hasn't even touched the game disc not really into survival horror games like the Silent Hill series, so I can't really wouldn't know if the movie was true to the games or not.

The Visiting. I don't know what this is (Bad movie guru! No biscuit!), but it seems to have Nicole Kidman in it.

Is this the remake that's not a remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Or something along the lines of that? I seem to remember reading something about that before. Hmm, maybe it's her answer to War of the Worlds.

The fact that Sean Bean is in this gives me some hope, since he classed up The Island like whoa.

SEAN BEAN!! Sorry, it's a reflex I'm not sure where I picked up, and one I'm not sure how to get rid of.

I love Sean Bean, despite the fact that I have yet to really see him in much of anything except LotR. He's nearly enough to make me go and see Silent Hill. Even though watching the SH2 game as my husband played through it a few years ago gave me nightmares.

Or maybe I'll wait for the rental.

(Now I'm sad I missed The Island in theaters, since it had Sean AND Ewan eye candy. Must rent it sometime and drool.) ;-)
