I'm so pissed by the Syriana thing, you have no idea. First Clooney steals my man Siddig's supporting actor award chances, now AMPAS has found a way to screw the script out of a nomination. There's something going on behind-the-scenes here, you know there is.

How can Beowulf & Grendel not suck, btw? I was so looking forward to it, and now I'm so not looking forward to it. It's bad enough that Kevin Reynolds did Tristan & Isolde -- this trend is raping my adulthood.

But then again we do have the Hrothgar Hopkins and Unferth Malkovich in the Gaiman version. Which is probably going to rule in a completely unfathomable way.

(Got the yayingative news that I'll be translating the sequel to American Gods, the novella Monarch of the Glen -- which is basically Shadow vs. Grendel, with some haute couture and some elves. I so can't wait for the movie to come out.)
