a slightly awkward live performance of parklife, looks like 2000ish, judging from damon's ridiculous clothes.

i like how he tries to be really aggressive and hard, singing into graham and alex's faces, along with his own slightly annoyed expression.

I sort of love all Damon versions of this song, though this particular vid I didn't quite get into until he and Graham -- who looks so happy in that video! -- started laughing and yelling face to face. CUTENESS. Anyway, one of the funniest renditions is that clip where Damon sings, to the tune of a verse line, something like "I had the words written on my hand, but now I've forgotten it! Parklife!" But my favorite favorite version period would have to be the acoustic one on Ray Cokes:

And I like Phil Daniels' recording of it, all quaint and caustic. When he (or anyone, really) tries to make it too crazy, the song loses its taunting charm.

THAT is the most adorable thing ever. Alex's little head nod from side to side really adds to it all. I WANT '94 DAMON BACK.

The fact that we now have fluffy dork Damon means I can't be too nostalgic, but I am quite fond of how he looked completely like a small child for so, so long.

Ahaha, same here. Damon looks too pissed throughout that performance to make it too enjoyable. Although it's funny because of that too.

NO OTHER GIG COULD TOP KOLN 93. that gig is the main reason why i sometimes wish they showed up drunk out of their asses to the reunion gigs cos they're 50 billion times more hilarious/spazzy/random when they're drunk lol.

I KNOW, THAT'S THE BEST BLUR GIG EVER. They are so fucking hilarious in it. BRB watching "Chemical World" from that gig again. Awwww, I love drunk Graham breaking his guitar strings and Damon advertising for Fred Perry.

I HAVE JUST REALIZED through the power of rewatching that after "Coping," Damon goes over and hugs (a freakishly loud that day) Graham. The camera's far away, that's my explanation for not noticing before.
