The Blue Jeans chorus is so lovely. From that album, "she's a well-wisher and she wishes you well" is really striking for me too. And I love the coda of For Tomorrow to an insane degree.

"Sociability is hard enough for me, take me away from this big bad world and agree to marry me so we can start over again" is possibly my dream proposal.

OH OH I THOUGHT OF IT. The chorus to End of a Century is MADE OF PERFECT AND BRILLIANT. Especially "We wear the same clothes 'cause we feel the same."

There are so many more, but I'm too lazy to look up all the songs for ideas. I will probably attack with more later. XD

yesss, i agree with all of your choices, especially "end of a century." SO GOOD.

the coda for "for tomorrow" is a thing of beauty. so poetic, almost. and awwww at graham. i love hearing him sing, "you're so great and i love you," because it's such a simple line, but it sounds like so much more when in that song.

The first lyrics that come to mind are "I'm a professional cynic, but my heart's not in it" and "I'd love to stay here and be normal, but it's just so overrated."

And of course End of a Century and Out of Time in their entirety. ;)

"I'm a professional cynic, but my heart's not in it"

I can't believe I forgot to include that line. That line always floors me.

It was my favorite quote ever for the longest time. I used it for EVERYTHING. :3

"Being English isn't about hate, it's about disgust. We're all disgusting." It's so Damon.

TOO DIFFICULT.

I do love Blue Jean's lyrics though. Also, Look Inside America:

Good morning
Lethargy
Drink Pepsi
It's good for energy

But my fave bit is:

Chuck from the company says it will be alright
Got an ad on KROQ
And there's an in-store tonight

But really I just love them coz of the way Damon sings 'em. ^_^

I love "Look Inside America," but I agree, it's the way Damon sings it that makes it that much better. And the music, obviously, adds to it. That song has a shimmer to it, if that makes sense, haha.

Forgot a couple lines that I've always liked:

"And now it seems that we're falling apart
But I hope I see the good in you come back again
I just believed in you"

"Don't be like me, stay away from the night"

"I could kill him, but I just kiss his hand"

"Don't be like me, stay away from the night"

"I could kill him, but I just kiss his hand"

Oooh, where did these come from?

Speaking of Sweet Song, I love "I deceive, I deceive, I deceive, I deceive 'cause I'm not that strong (I hope you feel the same)."

"Don't Be" and "Dancehall" :) I have the MP3s if you want them.

Yeah, that whole song is beautiful really.

Oh, Don't Be! I've totally listened to that before, but didn't catch the words super well. I know that's a B-side, I'm assuming Dancehall is too? I'd love the d/ls if you don't mind, thank you!
