Bathroom

Our master bath is sadly in need of repair. When we bought our condo over four years ago, the tile around the soap dish in the shower bulged out like the wall behind was starting to sag or melt. The only thing holding it together now is hope and a slathering of caulk ( Read more... )

Come on now... both have the hotness, yet the first has the practicality as well. What is there to decide? Can you really imagine trying to go through a quick morning routine without a proper shower?

Just the vanity... not the tub or shower. I'm sure we'll rip out the tub and put in a big shower but we're not that far along.

Ah, I see. My vote stays the same though (for the reasons mentioned by others -- the sink/counter of the other is certainly "striking" but perhaps not practical... plus, much less storage)

they both look nice and very similar, so I didn't choose.

I personally would go for the one with the whole countertop, for cleaning purposes (I would be stressed thinking about damaging the other one all the time, no matter how well it was treated and how vented the space was) but aesthetically they are both nice clean lines.

We went for the classic under-counter sink both because the vessel isn't practical with kids, but also because the vessel is trendy now but it'll look dated in 10 or so years. So if you don't plan on re-doing or selling in the next 10 years or so, I'd recommend considering the first style.

i find avanti to be a little too trendy and linea to be too impractical - trying to keep that counter clean/dry will be a bitch, and there's very little usable counter space. also, i think master baths should have two sinks, if at all possible.

i like the vanity itself on the linea, just a different counter/sink combination.
