The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert

Apr 20, 2007 15:54

It was fifteen years ago today that some of rock's biggest stars joined together to pay tribute to Freddie. I'm sorry there aren't more pictures, and that they're not better quality, but I've been quite stressed/busy with school/exams. Maybe sometime soon I'll do a proper picspam, with dvd caps ( Read more... )

That's weird....I was watching some of this concert today, I had no idea it was 15 years ago today.

George Michael was fantastic, I love his version of "Somebody To Love".
I have to agree about Axls shorts...I was thinking that as I watched him this afternoon!

Great photos.

I do too. Since I got the 3-disc set of the greatest hits, I've been sooo in love with it. ♥

Hahah. I like Freddie in the tiny white shorts better! ;)

i love George Micheal's performance **

I knew you'd love the Slash/Brian pic as much as I do! :D

And yes, I absolutely loved it, too.

Yes, that's true, he's pretty nice to look at. But...Those are pretty tiny shorts! Hehehe. ;)

I don't really know what to say...except that John makes me laugh. ;)

Mostly, this post just made me feel sort of melancholy but in a good way? Erm..It is good, like you said, to see them having fun and stuff, just the why of it all, you know?

When doesn't John make you laugh? :P

And yes, I know exactly what you mean. And don't worry about being inar-inar-inar-inarticulate (heh), it sort of makes me that way, too. ♥

*Shocked* John sang?

Other than that I really don't know want to say. I mean, it was a tribute for a wonderful talented man but at the same time I feel like I honour Freddie everytime I listen to him sing. I'll always remember him. Mind you, this could all just be because I still haven't found a copy of the dvd to find, and not from a lack of trying!

Now before I get all sad - that Robert/Brian pic makes me giggle. ^_^

...Well he had a microphone. :P

I found a copy of the VHS on eBay- it's not the edited version that the dvd is. Now mind you, the dvd is nice- very nice- to have, but i'm excited to watch the "full" concert soon. (They still cut a little bit out, but not the whole first half like the dvd!)

Hah. That scene is hilarious. ^_^
