I really like the chocolate theme that you have going on! The brown frill/ruffles are a nice addition to a print skirt. If you're into making more handmade items, Otome no Sewing is a great book for patterns if you're in the approximate measurements for them.

I do really enjoy making my own things, I haven't used a pattern yet though. I have classic skirt that I made, it also has a ruffle, but it looks different since it's completely attached. It needs some lace though, so I haven't been able to wear it out yet.

What are the approximate measurements? Is that something I can find online?

Also, the sewing book is in Japanese. I didn't know the measurements offhand, but a little googling led me to an Ebay listing describing the sizes:
size / chest / waist / hip / height
S / 78cm / 60cm / 84cm / 156cm
M / 82cm / 64cm / 88cm / 158cm
L / 88cm / 70cm / 94cm / 163cm

I listed Kinokuniya listings, which you would save money if you bought 3 books from them. Otherwise, the Ebay price is about the same for only 1 book.

Ah.... sad, those measurements are a little too small for me. It's the bust that kills it. Thanks for the info though!

I love the skirt in the first picture! Did you make it?
I think the cardigan goes really well but the shoes kinda get lost with the socks. I think white or pink shoes/sock, just to break up the brown.

For the second one, maybe higher pigtails? or duel buns, that'd be super cute and with enough bobby-pins you can conquer studdon hair (I have the opposite issue with my hair, poof and waves everywhere)
Other than that, I think the bag and necklace are great accessories for this and the shoes work with it too.

Thank you, I did make it! It's actually a skirt and an under-skirt. The pink chocolate truffle skirt was my first lolita piece (handmade or otherwise). I wore it out alone in my first (rather awful) attempt at wearing lolita a few months ago. Clearly it was plainer than white rice like that, and it was too short to boot, so I added the underskirt. I'm thinking of making another underskirt (perhaps without ruffles) in a slightly lighter brown, so I have more options for coording it.

I actually had originally intended to wear it more casually with pink shoes (I was painting a pair, intended to paint matching truffles on it...), but the tape I used to mask off the sole left behind a horribly sticky residue that ruined them. :( In the end though, those shoes might have been out of place considering the cardigan.

Cute outfits! I'm a huge fan of the second baby jsk, so it's nice to see it being worn by somebody. :) I'd second the recommendation that someone else made for buns with the second outfit! I also think maybe a little hairclip or a hair accessory would help spice up the outfit a bit more, but it also looks fine without one.

Thank you! I love that print so much, and in that colorway it's so perfect. I'm glad to hear there are other fans of that jsk, since I don't see it very often. It's without a doubt one of my favorites.

I'll have to try some different hairstyles, I'm not very creative with it. I did intend to have more going on with the hair accessories, but I procrastinated and didn't get it made in time. Maybe next time I wear this jsk, I'll have it finished.

Thanks for your advice!

Wow, such pretty co-ords, especially the second one, it's got me thinking strawberries and chocolate sauce!

Nice job with the handmade necklace.
