Thank you so much! Yeah, I was COMPLETELY wiped out by the end of each jam-packed day. I've never gone to bed at a reasonable hour for that many consecutive nights in my life, haha! Luckily, I managed to scrape together enough common sense to bring a couple spare pairs of flats for all the walking, so my feet were marginally less abused than they would've been if I'd worn heels the entire time ( ... )

Yay, I'm so glad you like them! I used to be all about the chunky platforms, but recently I've really become a fan of sky-high heels with lolita. :D

I was just saying in my post here that I love heels/stilettos with lolita :D

Heeeell yeah, stilettos for the win! They're so flattering on, and they balance out the silhouette of huge hair/petticoat poof really nicely. Besides, who DOESN'T wanna feel like a sexy bitch when they've put so much effort into a coordinate? ;)

Looks like you guys had a rad time--y'all certainly looked awesome doing it. Gah. I lust after the Atelier Pierrot, especially.

Giiiiirl it was ALL so good! I've never stuffed my face as hard as I did while I was in Japan. I MISS THE BAKERIES SO MUCH.

Dude I bow down to your awesomeness and the fact that you lugged all that awesome lolita garb to Tokyo with you.
If I ever end up there I will probably look so banal because I don't want to lug around a giant suitcase.
Seriously you look fabulous in every single photo!
And you met Louie, how genius is that! Lucky you! (I love Rose Noire).
I would break my neck in heels like yours, I can't even stand up in those.

Hah, you're the sweetest! Thank youuuu. In all honesty, I'm the laziest dresser EVER (I would wear clothes made out blankets if I could), but having the ever-stylish Camille around definitely kicked my butt into gear. Packing and transporting my massively oversized suitcases sure was a royal pain in the arse, though!

I'd never heard of Rose Noire before Classic Alamode, but I really enjoyed their music and overall performance! The genre is so cool, too-- like opera and rock music hooked up one night at a crazy party in Versailles. ;)

Man I'd LOVE to see them live, I hope they'll make it to Europe at some point.
I've got both their cds and as long as Louie lays off the really high notes I love it :D
And I'm generally not even into that kind of stuff (I generally listen to things like Abney Park, Buck-Tick, Project Pitchfork, J and Spiritual Front) so yeah :)

I like to travel light (in other words: everything MUST go in my doctor's bag and my wildly unstylish camping backpack) so I will probably go onto the plane wearing my petti and what not just to save place in my bag for skirts and tops etc haha :)
And then stand there in Tokyo looking wildly embarassed that I've not tried harder.

Louie DID mention something about a large tour-- at the very least, he said he wanted to make it to America again soon, so hopefully he'll be including a few other countries, too! You should write them about it; I bet they'd be received really well in Europe.

Yeah, same here! I don't really even dabble in the more alternative genres (I prefer rock and electronica like IAMX, Massive Attack, or Nine Inch Nails), and I generally HATE j-rock and most Japanese music, but Rose Noire was something else! You're right about the high notes, though- they made me clench my jaw a little. :P

A camping backpack would be a great idea! Camille wore lolita stuff on the plane both ways, and had no problems with it- and since petticoats are the most space-consuming item IN THE WORLD, I definitely think that'd be smart. Just bust outta the terminal snapping your fingers and walking like Tyra and nobody'll give you lip. ;)

Embarrass American lolitas? Girl you give hope to us all with every single one of these incredibly stylish, inspiring and perfect coords. Of course my favorite coord was the purple one but they were all equally stunning. I'm classic/sweet at heart but it's gothic and even punk coords like these that make me want to try those styles as well.

Did you pretty much go there just to shop, eat and purikura? Forgive me if this is too personal but I am very curious about how much ($) you dropped during that whole trip.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! It's a different matter entirely when I actually open my mouth-- but at this point, only time will tell, haha. I'm so glad that you've been inspired to try new styles! I mix subgenres all the time and don't pay much mind to classification, and I've found that really opens a lot of doors for creativity ( ... )

What an incredible time you must have had. I hope to have a similar experience myself. I'm sure we all do here. Haha.

I understand your reservations about disclosing how much you spent. I was just hoping to get an idea of what to expect/strive to.

Honestly, it was really easy to have fun there, since Tokyo is full of entertainment, activities, and quirky oddities-- and the city NEVER sleeps. I bet someone could waltz over there with no solid plans at all and have the time of their life!

That's totally understandable! If you'd like, I can send you a few details through a PM. :)
