I remember the old Max Steel from early 2000s! I never had him because he was too expensive for me back then. A couple of years ago Mattel re-designed Max Steel and gave him a more anime-younger-cartoony-friendlier look... and a cheaper construction. I don't care about Max being cheaply built, I fell in love with his new design. I could get this one for less than $7 during a store's clearance :D :D :D (well, my Max is one of the simplest figures, and his axe is not detachable)
I was gonna say, this Max looks a lot different from the ones my brother had. He's still really cool, though! And you got him for such a great price! :D
$7 is a pretty good price for a fully articulated figure that doesn't have paint job in the back and inside is all hollow, he he he :D. But he is really sturdy and can bear a rough playing. If I remember well, Max Steel dissapeared from the stores some years before his re-design. Sadly, he is the only one human character in his new toyline, the rest are somehow faceless monsters. This is a great failure because I love the new futuristic-anime design, and I will love to have more human-like characters from this line.
