It had been a few days since they'd gone out to eat after work, and ended up making out in the backseat of his truck. True to his word he didn't breathe a word of it to anyone. He did his play flirting here and there at work which was nothing unusual. He actually enjoyed having someone around that could get his humor sometimes and not look at him ( Read more... )

Riley had decided that the best way of dealing with what happened between her and Greg by not thinking about it. She worked and she kept her head down, but not without catching a smile from the man or brushing against him while processing a scene. Needless to say it made work a little hard. Still, she wasn't going to pass up meeting with him for dinner on Christmas.

After a few general Christmas related activities she came back, showered and gotten ready for dinner. It took way too long to figure out what to wear, and at that moment, as she dug through her closet she hated being a girl. Finally she decided on a simple black dress and red shrug. She was wondering if it was too much when she heard a knock on the door.

Frowning to herself she walked to the door and opened it with a smile. "Hey, Greg. Come on in."

He smiled and slipped by her and looked around before turning to her. He couldn't help the fact his eyes swept over her and what she was wearing. He smiled then.

"You look nice Riley."

He had noticed how she was at work, keeping her head down and he had to wonder if she regretted ever kissing him. He pushed it from his mind then, whatever was going to happen between them would happen.

Shutting the door behind her, she turned and looked at him with a bit of a smile. Riley looked him over and her smile grew even as her cheeks were colored by a slight blush.

"You look nice too, Greg. Can I get you anything?" Moving away from the door, she walked back toward her bedroom, scooting up a pair of running shoes as she did so.

The apartment was clean, organized, bare wood floors, clean white walls that had been recently washed. There were very few personal effects or pictures up, just clean, the only color coming from her couch in the living room and bed covers on her four poster bed.

"I'm fine Riley. Thank you." He smiled watching her as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He was looking around a bit, force of habit from the job most likely, mixed with a bit of left over internal paranoia he didn't know was there after what happened to him. "You have a very nice place Riley. Simple, neat. I like it."
