I'm still alive and my dissertation is making me cranky, so clearly that means it's time to update after a long hiatus. I also have a stress fracture in my foot so I've been cooped up for a while--at least the freezing cold means I'm not the only one

I'm obsessed with Better off Ted: I watch it whenever I need to feel instantly better about life with a side of snark.

Thanks for the tip on Drop Dead Diva: I used to see the commercials when I would watch reruns of other shows on Lifetime, but never knew if it was actually as cute as it looked. Since I watched a lot of not very good TV after my PhD exams, I guess it made me hesitant to jump in to a show I associate with that time? *handwaves*
