Well, I finished my lab (finally) late last night, but I thought I should have something to say before I collapsed from sheer exhaustion.

Episode three tomorrow!

I think the door will be closed on the Jack/Gwen relationship once Gwen and Rhys share a passionate kiss at the end of episode 4. From the way that it's phrased, it appears that Gwen's affection for Rhys goes up a notch during this episode, bringing a partial end to her infactuation with Jack.

Since Catherine Tregenna has written both episodes 4 and 5 - 5 being the one where Jack is meant to initiate a passionate kiss with Ianto - CT may have had a long running arc in mind during her 2 episodes, one where the door closes on Jack/Gwen and another opens on Jack/Ianto and Gwen/Rhys.

S3 is another matter of course.

Oooh, I like that. ;) How the fact that CT is writing this managed to slip my mind, I don't know. But because she is, I feel a lot better. And the idea of a long-running arc where Jack and Gwen ends, and Jack/Ianto and Gwen/Rhys actually work, sounds lovely and makes a lot of sense.

As for s3... *Sigh* I suppose we'll deal with that when the time comes.

That does sound lovely actually... Jack/Gwen needs some closure since it seems to be tapering to an end and that could help Gwen to get over it and fix up things with Rhys.
