I want to see a leopard launched four feet skyward ... :~) BTW, how big is half-grown? And is this the type of critter who infamously jammed the Cape observatory's skylight?

It's half size, but big enough not to be entirely cute. Maybe bobcat sized, maybe a bit bigger.
Yes, there's a story they tell at the Cape Town observatory, probably dating from 100 years ago or more, when the observatory was indeed far away from the city and not surrounded by suburbs as it is now. The hippos in the river are long gone now. One night they found that they couldn't move the doors to open the dome, because of the leopard on top. Probably a bigger one than this, since the climate in Cape Town is more accommodating.
