Whoa, whoa, whoa. What kind of late night programming is this? At this time of night, HBO usually shows any old random movie. They just wrapped up Closer, which is too recent, I think, to be shown in this time slot.

But that's not what this post is about.

They're now showing Wakko's Wish. As in the Animaniacs Christmas movie.

i really didnt like closer... it was too... confusing... and just ended up putting me to sleep

It's one of my favorite movies. The confusion comes from that it's adapted from a stage play, and the temporal transitions aren't immediately obvious. They try to alleviate that by stating in the dialogue how much time has passed since the last scene. Also, once you realize how strictly locked each scene is to a set/location (just like a stage play), then you can see that every time we go to a different location/characters, much time has passed.
