Inspired by an offhand comment in a recent ontd_pinto post, I am in the middle of writing fanfiction in the style of Harlequin Presents novels. What's really frustrating is that most of the books I own don't follow this structure. I'm not used to reading it, let alone trying to write it. I've only read a handful of Presents novels, and even then I usually gave up halfway through because they're so infuriating. So... this will definitely be a challenge.
