I'm currently learning another finite-element software, GeoStudio SEEP/W. The first step is to read the manual, which is very educational as the software was developed by an academic team (rather than a design company, which is the usual case). I thought I'd share a couple of gems.

This gives me a new take on "the limits of my language are the limits of my world". Words evolve to describe phenomena, but words can also cause the development of an imaginative - and even emotional - universe. So you can map the world with numbers, but what you do with numbers can make a new understanding of the world.
Maybe your mind and mine aren't as different as I thought!
