This is the original description (wish I had read up on it before trying it). “A woman's consuming love forces her to bear the clone of her dead beloved. From his infancy to manhood, she faces the unavoidable complexities of her controversial decision.”

It’s a rather unnerving movie but strangely I enjoyed all the good qualities about it. Watched

I've never heard of 'Tideland' so thank you for the recommendation even if it was unintentional. And I agree that some people do go far and beyond to express their love and sometimes project a adamant refusal to accept their demised/demising reality. It's really astounding to see it.
