I loved Star Wars when I saw it, but Carrie Fisher wasn't an important figure for me during my childhood. It was only when they released this new series and she got to be Leia again that I listened to her in interviews and I started to admire her for her totally good-natured feminist speech. I liked her and I'm sorry she's gone.

This really has been a bad year for celebrity deaths. She was always really pleasant, clever and funny when I saw her interviewed or on panel shows. It's a shame she went so relatively young.
