*cackles*

Don't forget to hand Aziraphael an iPad (or similar web-page-connecting tablet), too, sometime. "And here's how you download from gutenberg.org..."

Ooh, that would keep him reading for at least a week!

Then you send him to Smashwords.com for all the free stuff, and samples, and he had better keep the "show mature titles" checkbox unclicked...

That was perfect and just what I wanted for Christmas! That balance between "But you don't have the *feel* of a book in your hands" vs. "But you can carry *how many* books in your hands?"

(I spend three months in Costa Rica each year, and while I'm slowly learning to (slowly) read Spanish-language fiction I don't think I could manage for three months without my Kindle providing English-language fiction. And even in Spanish I need the Kindle for the dictionary lookup.)

Thank you! I have a feeling Aziraphale probably ended up with one of each generation of kindle - probably used simultaneously to allow for more books to be carried around.

Never forget your Kindle on your trips, that way madness lies!

Forgetting your Kindle on a three-month trip doesn't lead to madness; it leads to buying a second Kindle!

A two-week trip to Costa Rica sold my mother on the Kindle. I took my Kindle; she took three paperback books. After less than a week she was stealing my Kindle any time I set it down.
