Try to leave the house at least once during the day after announcing your grand return to Livejournal, otherwise you'll have nothing to write about.

Why not write about gerbils? The internet loves gerbils.

That's a good point. Perhaps I'll write about gerbils tomorrow. I don't want make more than one post a day though. While it's not actually possible to get too much of Me, I like to keep my audience on their toes.

I did mean to leave the house. I spent the day working at home on archaeological things, until about half past four. I was about to go out to buy a newspaper when I remembered that the women's 4x6km biathlon relay from this morning was being shown on Eurosport, so I spent the next hour watching that. By that time, Grangetown being the way it is, I would have had to trek round four or five shops to find a Guardian, and I couldn't be arsed. On the other hand, Kati Wilhelm was Top Good in the biathlon, so it was worth staying in. I love Kati Wilhelm. Not only is she a chick with a gun, but she has dyed red hair, and that's more than enough to keep me happy.

So maybe I could have written about all that, but people would probably have got bored.
