So let's all deal with the situation and get on with it.

In some cases, this is what people are trying to do. Even the bitching serves a useful purpose: it clarifies one's own position and acts as a sounding board to identify other people with complementary opinions and to weed out the really stupid complaints.

That said, I'm upset less by Bush's actions than his pig-headed insistence that he's right and that the rest of the country doesn't count. (Referring primarily to his statements that he won't be swayed by opinion polls on various topics.) The hubris is overwhelming.

Politics, in general, infuriate me. "Let's talk about Controversial Proposal X to divert attention away from the work we're doing elsewhere." Nice.

while I agree with your view on politics in general, I have to disagree with your view on bush. I actually like the fact that he's not just trying to please the public... I just wish he'd at least listen.

well, i dont like bush because hes a homophobic, lying, skating fool who did too little too late during times of crisis (reading to children during 9/11, katrina) and too much too soon, or wayyy to late( iraq).
either way, he does suck and americans are hated worldwide thanks to him.
but that being said, i know its not just him. its the whole system, cheney, rumsfield, fox news, the white house, press and public that are part of the problem.
and so am i. i didnt vote (bootcamp).
youre right though, no sense bitching about it now.
perhaps if everyone bitching now had voted in the first election we wouldnt have this problem. who can say?
all i know is what i personally can do.
so i registered to vote. i pray. i try to help the military machine head.
the only moment that exists is now.
but yeah, i dont like bush. big whoop te do.
