Is this January?

It is so bitter cold outside.  When I go outside I am wearing my red wool jacket with the hood and lambswool-like lining.  With gloves and scarf.  And still.... I am freezing.  So I have my hood up around my face and the scarf tied around my neck , I am crossing to my building peeking around the edge of my hood for cars and I hear someone running

When we arrived in Phoenix it was in the mid 80's and very sunny. But this morning when we left Jacksonville it was 31 and that was about what it was when we arrived in Nashville. Old Man Winter has most of the country in his grip. Hard to get into global warming issues unless you understand that the cold is a symptom. I started a new book, Hot, Flat, and Crowded by Tom Friedman. I already have two pages of notes and I am only half way through the first chapter. Already he has hit the nail right on the head. One comment that resonated with me (and it is probably a post on its own) Sometimes you have to make changes to keep things the way they are now. Oh my.
