.. I happened on this italian translation for yet another fascinating Eminescu poem and am posting it here so I can look at it whenever I want and slowly work my way through the original with the help of the translation (Here you can find also a beautiful English translation..!)

this is my favorit poem of eminescu, had to learn it at school (of course not all of it, anyway, the made a TV show where they promised a washmachine to the person who can recitate the whole poem, they never thought that someone could do that, so they had no washmachine there, but a romanian teacher did it ... this is all I can remember ...)

:) it is beautiful, like all of his poems! For me it is still a bit hard to understand, but slowly, with the help of a good translation on the side, I am able to appreciate the whole wonder of it all!
How old were you when you came to Germany?

his poems are also very hard to understand I think, maybe also because I can't speak romanian very well. I came with maybe 12 or 13 years to Germany and since then I don't really practised romanian ... so I forgot a lot.
