I am so tired. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth, my bones are wary.

But there is only silence, all around.

We trudge on, knowing what expects us, but not when, or where.

In this world, as darkness, ever surrounding us, threatens to envelope and overtake us, the candles shining in the stillness as the beacon of a pathway into a brighter future may be our only hope of survival. Wow, this is not at all what I was expecting, but it was so good! I found myself laughing at your pleadings being shot down; it was like you were holding up a mirror right in my face. And I love the self-awareness that comes with that. (Whether or not we, and I mean me, can actually do anything positive with that self-awareness is neither here nor there

Thank you! I have been a Dante fiend since I was about 12... and the first fanfiction I wrote was about Dante and Virgil, back in 1978...go figure!
