Walking with Beats

So I took the first of what I hope will be many walks tonight. I went to the store all by myself. Dana and I had been walking together a couple days a week but now that she walks to work she doesn’t feel like walking with me. Well on the road is basically the beat bible so that's definitely good. From what you have read so far, you should be able to take a great deal. Kerouac wrote stuff high on drugs and life right as the words came to his head and didn't edit any of his shit. He lived freely and wrote the same way. He was unencumbered by the ideals that we should all be going on one set path. He made just enough to live and do what made him happy. Burroughs wrote with more freedom and experimented more. Naked Lunch is testament to that. But I don't know that much about him as compared to Kerouac. There's Ferlinghetti who was a beat poet, but I haven't read any of his stuff. Though Henry Miller was before the beat generation, bitch was doing the same thing as Kerouac and Burroughs except in europe. He flopped around that place writing a few bits for random publications just to make a few dollars to eat, buy women, and rome when he got bored. You tried to read tropic of cancer and couldn't but it really is a good book lyrically. I think he's ( ... )

more ginsburg, he is lonely! he has scrawled the lyrics of insanity on the window of the skull and there is nobody there to read his pieces! and dharma bums by kerouac. i think by then we'll be even and my resources shall be exhausted.
