"I like to think they do, but I guess that's just me," he admits, thoughtfully, but with his gentle smile.

Melou doesn't say anything to that. He just looks grumpy.

this is an old one, perhaps we could wrap it up to help reduce my ridiculous threadload?

"Well, it's just how I see it: everyone's got their own point of view, and we're all different," he says, gently. "If you'd rather be alone, I'll be on my way." And with that, he shoulders his practice sword and heads on up to the house.

Works for me!

Melou is indeed in a bear embrace, and he instantly starts squirming, trying to get away.

I think Melou might actually be done with the brawling now, so.

"Tell me," Gawain insists. "Then I shall let you go."

"Let me go!" Melou shouts. He's still struggling, but he's going to run out of energy soon.

Gawain says nothing and just waits.

"Hisoka," Melou starts, and doesn't finish, because he doesn't even know what he was planning to say.

He's still not looking at his friend. At this point, he's struggling not to start sobbing, and he doesn't want Hisoka to see his face.

Hisoka turns his eyes towards the forest ahead, so that he's not looking directly at Melou, and typist willing, wraps an arm around the King of Britain's shoulder. He makes a soft Shhhh sound which isn't an attempt to shut down the tears, if they come. It's more of reassurance: sorrow comes to everyone, as sure as the sun sets in the west, and a man who weeps isn't less of a man or less worthy of respect.
