I've been saying for years, "You should never have to work the day after a day off." Vacations are great but the return day is often something from a Wes Craven movie, "The Nightmare .... Nice about your son. Oh, to be that age again. I would have gone to the University of Washington and never looked back...

Jeff was accepted at U.W. as well as UCLA, Oregon and the two AZ schools. His heart was set on a California school with Stanford being #1. He didn't get in there.

Throughout the process I told him, "You're a hard working student. You'll succeed no matter where you go.", but he put so much pressure on himself. After seeing my eldest experience the same ups and downs I think the tough part is over. Going to school is cake.

Paying for it is not so cake.
