Because while we're all aware of his place on the sex offender webpage we're also aware that using that information to harass or discriminate could cause bigger problems than Xmas party seating.

It sounds from what you wrote that in his conversation he exceeds common and social and decent boundaries. Even if he weren't on the sex offender list, it sounds to me like he would be offensive. I too wonder why no one tells him shut the eff up when he gets obnoxious. Just leave off the "you're number 27 on the sex offender list." ;-/

There's also a clear warning that using this information to harrass or discriminate against the exhibitionist would itself be a crime.

There is good reason to coexist, even as our skin crawls with ewwwww.
