Childhood memory? Not for me.

I was about 30 when we bought our house in Palo Alto. It had a washer, but no dryer -- just line dry your clothes, the seller said. Yeah, that's great, except for when you have to to go work and it may rain that day. Or, you really want something to wear. Or, you don't like the way that sheets and shirts come out all stiff, even with fabric softener because hanging ehter with the sun beating on them stiffens them up.

Give me a dryer anyday!

I still line dry just because ever time I use the dryer it seems to make my clothes smell dingy and my already bad allergies get way way worse.

there's just something about the smell of line dried clothes vs dryer clothes. line dried they do smell fresher.

if I had a backyard to install a line I would. But it's kind of difficult in an apartment
