Update on the Ulcer

Today was getting really bad. I hadn't eaten anything since Sunday evening. I hadn't really drank more than 10 ounces of liquid either. I've felt quite weak and have watched the USA television network all day. Since I was unable to drink even a sip of apple juice without a severe urge to vomit, I called the nurse around 6pm. Would ice chips work? (My thinking being that the ice melts slowly enough that you don't have to swallow hard and it wouldn't be a big rush of pressure against an already sore spot. But I've never been to medical school either.)

I've found that, in contrast to many sores I've had, ice hurts like no other. I think it's because it contracts the stomach, which in turn does some twisty things to the sores.

I don't mean swallowing the ice, I meant holding the ice in your mouth while it melted. By the time the water reached your stomach, it shouldn't be too cold anymore...

I'm listening to the IHS jazz cd we recorded and going "holy crap david has a really good sound". you should start up again, man. if you survive all this ulcer yuckiness.

Eh, I was ok. I definitely think we should jam this summer though. Call me up (425) 283-8567 once August gets rolling, should be getting better by then.
