the juicer has been banished to the basement for far too long. countertop real estate was to blame, but, in honor of the new year, we brought it up and cleaned it off. we had some beets that had juicer written all over them.

well, i took one look at the beets and knew they needed to be dressed up a little first:

thanks! there's actually a book out there with lots of really cute food art. i *think*, if memory serves, it's called "play with your food". anyway, the beets had tails, which is what inspired all this silliness.

that is great. i juicers are wonderful things. i love carrot beet juice. can i come over and have some. i have to admit, yours was much more of a bat than rat. those onions crack me up!
