One tiny little factual note from the Doom of Doom-name changes on tickets are almost inpossible. The days of "you can use my tickets" are long gone.
And I saw this little post on fanficrants which proved just how desperately, the Monk fandom needs you to keep writing.

I was wondering if someone would pick up on that, because I actually knew this from personal experience, and debated over it about when writing. My excuse is a canon-based one - the very end of the show sees Leland on vacation in Hawaii with Randy(!) instead of Linda, and it was heavily implied-though-not-stated that this was of course the vacation he was going to go on with Linda. And I didn't think it was likely he would do a 'rebook-and-cancel' for the sake of having ( ... )
