Que Sera Sera - House S03x06

Willllson!

OK, I feel I have to get all the Wilson stuff out of the way first, or I’ll be completely incoherent. More than usual. When he started with the whole “oh yes, sometimes I sign my name different ways” bit in the second-last scene with Tritter, I was literally watching through my fingers, whimpering. There was an ‘oh my god’ in there as well. I…may take this TV show just a little too seriously… but on the other hand I did get momentarily distracted by a “my, that blue checked shirt looks good”. Also, I loved that shot of RSL's back when he was hunched over the table at the end... what?

Also, I was sort of listening to the banter outside the police station or whatever (in one of those Art Imitates Fanfic moments) but mostly I was thinking, oh, the fringe (or bangs, if you must, although I wouldn't) is definitely coming back. Yay! Ahem. I can’t actually remember what was said, except for something about $15,000. Ouch. Did I mention there was a definite fringe quiff thing happening? But they were very cute getting into the car. I’m sorry we didn’t get to see House + Wilson + cell, but I did start laughing at the other guy’s umpteenth rendition of the song and House’s pained expression.

Wilson’s walls being thin? Didn’t I read that in fanfic somewhere? I was amused, anyway.

There may also have been an another ‘oh my god’ at the tomato juice on Wilson’s coat. I couldn’t help it. That must have been highly traumatic for the poor man *g*. Also, House calling Wilson ugly means he’s actually considered the issue, so there. And House’s laugh is terrifying.

Wilson doing medical procedures is also hot, ill-fitting yellow coverall or not. OK, I think I’m done.

So, Cameron gets to be House this week? She’s definitely more fun than previous incarnations, but it’s weird to see her exhibiting such House-like behaviour. And I could do without the Ham, thanks. And Chase disappeared! Come back, Chase! How are the odds on ‘was Chase a fat kid’ going? There’s no way Cameron was ever fat though. I can’t imagine. I’m putting that down to the ‘fat guy reminds her of House’ theory rather than the fatness itself. I did kind of like the parallel with House trying to diagnose him assuming their personalities would be similar, but it didn’t seem to go very far. Cuddy doesn’t yell at CAMERON for breaking the MRI machine I see. The handful of Ca/Cu shippers should find that interesting.

But I guess clearly Cameron had to be House this week, because House wasn’t terribly with it - skipping out on patient diagnosis, letting Cuddy’s secret slip, blaming Wilson unfairly… well, I guess that bit could be considered normal for this season, but it shouldn’t be. Also, he actually had to look for Wilson. Since Wilson was at the vending machines, the little homing light is clearly broken - or maybe it doesn't light until he actually HAS the food. These things are important.

Noticed everyone eating very healthily this ep… although I don’t know what Wilson may have been buying from those vending machines.

Um…butt plug? WTF? OK, that was funny, but seriously bizarre. Have the writers been reading House BDSM again? If they break out the ball gags and clamps I’m running.

Oh, I liked the lawyer guy. He was cute and funny (and horribly expensive) - I hope we see him again.

More random gasping at House’s home invasion. I am enjoying the plotline, and I really liked Tritter’s whole ‘just because you work with nurses you think you’re tough’ point, and House’s insta-diagnosis. It brought home so nicely the whole thing of how House fits in on his home turf, but doesn’t really elsewhere. Tritter’s such a delightfully big, ugly dose of reality… and I mean that literally as well as figuratively (OK, he wasn’t quite as scary this week, but still).

Also, now I really want Tritter/Wilson. With the bad touching and huge amounts of angst. Anyone? (And a spanking for evila_elf, who instantly declared it ‘Witter’).

What else? Oh, yes, most tasteless play on words ever for the title “the future’s not ours to see…”. Or at least that’s the way I interpreted it. Nice. And normally I think I would be more excited about the guitar, but really, it can’t compare to the earlier sighting of the blue-shirted interrogated Wilson.
