I read the story, and well I wasn't disturbed much. Perhaps there is something wrong with me but I didn't find it repulsing. It wasn't the weirdest piece of literature I ever read. (No writer beats Dante's Hell)
I think your story is sad, extremely, desperately sad and elegantly written. Your style of writing is impressive. You're brave to post a fic of such controversial content.

Thanks so very much - I have to say I was (and am) a bit nervous about this fic, because while I still think it was true to my own interpretations, it's obviously very dark, and I've hovered on the edge of deleting it completely. I also think the warnings make it sound a whole lot worse than it is, and I couldn't see any way of softening them. In a way, I think you're just as brave to post a comment! Thanks again ♥

I started reading that in university, but never got through it! I feel I should probably try again, though *g*

Absolutely brilliant! I haven't seen the play, but this certainly fits well with the novel (at least, my interpretation of the novel).

I did read the novel for background, but the style of language was very much filched from the play, I think. It's interesting that in the play Henry disappeared altogether, and I think parts of him and his relationship to Frankenstein possibly influenced the play's Creature. The play also jumped immediately from the wedding night to the Arctic! Anyway, I'm grateful you still thought it worked, and even more so for your comment on such a disturbing fic. Thanks so much ♥
