When JJ Feild attacks!

I really should have known better. For a start, I still have unwatched James Woods DVDs dating from my 2011 fandom hiatus (Esmerelda Margaret Note Spelling). Then of course there's my pending Cumberbatch Collection of things like Small Island, Van Gogh and To the Ends of the Earth. Then there are those recent House developments, including the  ( Read more... )

The pics do make the movie look interesting, but I have ADD and was excited about developments on House so I didn't read all about Telstar. I just wanted to say WILSON! OMG, how could they do this to Wilson? It should be a great episode. Every time they torture Wilson, or really, torture House by torturing Wilson, it's a really fucking good episode and/or arc. I still adore House's Head and Wilson's Heart.

Also, my son surprised me by saying, "Dramatic irony," when he saw the preview, because I didn't know he knew anything about dramatic irony, or even that Wilson is an oncologist. That was totally random and beside the point.

Hee, that's fine, the Wilson thing IS IMPORTANT, LOL. Sigh, fine, I either have to do the fastest watch through of House ever, or just cut to the chase. So to speak. I loved Amber, I have to say. She was good for Wilson.

Ha! They grow up so fast XD

omg

It was your amusing comments on satellites and the absurd photos of Ken-doll Heinz that drew me in under the cut and then I stayed for more amusing comments and then I fell off my office chair when the photos started to get STEAMY.

I need this film in my life. Youtube uploaders, how clueless are you?

Plastic boys with peroxyde quiffs ftw.

Hee, let me know if you need any help! I think apart from my JJ thing, I found Joe very sympathetic and convincing - he kind of starts out as an eccentric genius (sound familiar?) and then spirals down into paranoia, drug abuse and debt. So I cared enough about him to actually follow the movie proper, and the final twist to his life - which I haven't mentioned and won't spoil - really is tragic.

The scenes I saw on youtube were the hair washing scene, the scene with the girlfriend and the reposessed car, and a hilarious fight scene I left out. So the whole m/m plotline came as a complete and utter surprise, especially since none of the kissing scenes made it into that 'everybody loves me' vid either - for which I would have thought they'd be perfect, but then I suppose that very much depends on the personal tastes of the vidder *g*

Cool, that movie looks interesting! I am sad that Heinz didn't seem to reciprocate Joe's feelings, though.

My Fandom Mind Palace is in fact currently so overstuffed that the foundations are cracking and the entire structure is threatening to collapse, possibly taking out a wing of my neighbouring "RL" mansion on its way down.

Yeah...yeah. That happens. Er...bit not good, don't let your RL mansion crumble. :D

It was quite a good movie, but yes, Heinz did rather turn out to be a dick. I did end up very sympathetic to Joe.

LOL, yes I suppose a bit not good indeed. Maybe I need to go play in House for a little bit and regain some sanity. After I, you know, go take a picture of a lemon XD

I figured "eh, why the hell not" and clicked on your cut. And laughed out loud at your "pulled out" comment. And got big-eyed over these photos. Uh, what??? Wow. And then laughed again at the tiny little mumble at the end of your post.

Fandom, ah, fandom.

I don't understand. This kind of fan feeling NEVER happens to me. *shaking head sadly*

The whole m/m angle came as a complete surprise to me - either I missed those clips or they weren't to the taste of the uploaders *g*.

But it was very touching, and Joe was a very sympathetic character - a genius with serious eccentricities who spirals into drug-taking and paranoia... now, why does that sound so familiar? LOL.

Maybe that's because you're actually emotionally mature? LOL. I swear that I'm for the most part a responsible adult who has done all the conventional and 'proper' adult things... but the fannish part of me is eternally stuck in adolescence. I do think it will probably have to go one of these days. But not just yet XD

Er. You do know I was kidding, right? I'd link you to my undignified fan posts, but I've written so many it would break LJ....

HEE, to be honest, no I didn't! You always sound eloquent and thoughtful and thoroughly intellectual in your fannish posts, not like the incoherent flaily squee I seem to end up with XD
