Women, are way too hard to read and I find their standards unreasonable. They wait to long to reciprocate a guys feelings and their vetting can be extreme. They often take too long vetting the good guys, so long, they pass up good opportunities and end up wasting a lot of time.

I haven't been interested in a real man for close to 8 years. I'm 50 and I just prefer the fantasy relationships I have in my crazed head.
You're barely 40, you still have a little more time left before you can marry and have kids. I can't say the same. So that's why I don't date anymore.

It does depend on the woman, to be fair I can only speak to my experience which is anecdotal. The above entry applies to about 90% of women I met I have yet to find a woman that wants to settle down, decisive, mature, and not boring. I just hate it whenever a woman engages with me in bad faith.

I understand if you'd want to give-up. The world is different from the way you remember it. Plenty of people at 50 who are single and content. When you think about it society pushes you to find a partner, doesn't necessarily mean you need to.

Yes, I like being on my own a lot of the time. I took a long hiatus because my BFF & then my Mom die. Needed time to recup. and put it all in perspective.
I'm looking for an independent BFF who is intelligent, kind especially to animals, and clean. Good Hygiene is a must. :P
