I came home to tbiedl plus two sprog (*) sitting and chatting with dan; they brought over Professor Wormbog and the Zipperumpa-Zoo specifically because I mentioned it fondly the other day in this journal; I read it to C. FYI, sprog is typically a derogatory term.

Hm. I've heard it used both positively and negatively by this point. If it's offensive, it's sort of mutated by now, at least among people I know.

A quick wikipedia search suggests it orignally came from alt.tasteless, which, by definition means it /was/ offensive. :)

Hm.

Did you mind the usage? Any yesses and it's gone, 'cause the intent wasn't to be offensive to anybody who'd occupy time on my journal.

Oh, I don't mind at all. I'm pretty easy-going in terms of language, really. I just figured I'd warn you, in case you plan to use it more widely on the net. :)

I know sprog from alt.support.childfree, so it struck me as a bit negative... but since I know you guys, I know it wasn't meant to be so.
