I've been playing Minecraft. This game seems to suit me. If you've never heard of it: it's world-building/exploring, first-person, with a fairly sophisticated physics engine. And intentionally blocky graphics, as you can see in this picture with a duck [ETA: chicken].

Even a "no griefers" server can see hours of work get destroyed by a third party, sadly.

I expect Boy would be happy to share his tips, including the perpetual motion machine (the game physics are good but not entirely true to life) that he uses to power mine carts.

I might set up a "gated community" private-ish server, if it comes to that.

That is one freaky game. I can't figure out the different blocks since all they seem to do is destroy a cube of land, but I haven't looked at the videos yet (an in-game tutorial would be nice).

Yeah- an in-game tutorial would be helpful. If you haven't found it yet, http://www.minecraftwiki.net/ is helpful, though you really need to watch a few intro videos to get gameplay hints.

FWIW, you need to craft a wood pickaxe to retrieve most stone blocks...
