Unclutterer reports that O'Reilly tech books has an ebook promotion for $4.99 per book you already own. This looks quite useful to me

Thanks, I didn't. It's too bad they aren't promoting this well; my Perl Mongers group is registered to get their email. It's also too bad you have to actually visit their page, since that would do nicely as an RSS feed.

I think I've gotten rid of all my O'Reilly books over time. :( So it's $4.99 per book you already own *for those books*, or for any book? (What I mean is, can I get the book I already own in paper as an eBook, or is it that for each paper book I own, I can get a *different* book as an eBook?)

The intent is for ebooks you already have as paper books.

Cool! I love the ORA books as reference books, but paper is not readily grepable. (greppable?) I'll have to see what I have that is even remotely up to date; my "DNS Configuration" book from fifteen years ago is probably not worth porting.
