Heh, I was just thinking ho wit would be amusing to have them organize coffee talks in response to all the teabagging stuff.

Coffee has an interesting history in terms of that kind of thing; in some ways the discovery and ensuing popularity of coffee and coffee houses drove and it could be said even created the Enlightenment period.

Which reminds me, have you read The Baroque Cycle? I think you'd enjoy it.

I finally got around to finding out what this teabagging protest was about. Um, yeah...

I will get out my french press.

Haven't read Baroque Cycle yet; I liked Stephenson's older stuff, didn't really like Cryptonomicon.

Cryptonomicon wasn't that strong IMO and a certain amt of the techie stuff wasn't presented very interestingly. The Baroque Cycle is a romp - fun as hell even when technical.
