PSA: Canadian postage on sale

It seems Pharma Plus is having a sale on Canadian postage: 10% off a book of ten regular 52-cent stamps. How odd is that? I've never heard of a sale on stamps.

I was suspicious, because Canada Post always raises rates in January, but it turns out the stamps are permanent, so they'll be good. I'm thinking maybe I should buy some more.

That's awesome! I must go and stock up.

I wonder if I'm the only people that has "stamps" on his holiday wish list.

Huh. That is a bit unusual, though understandable since it can be annoying to run out.

I don't use many stamps. d's dad used to give us US stamps as stocking-stuffers, along with AA batteries and chapstick. I still have some of those stamps, six years after we moved to this country. :)

I have an art project that uses stamps, so if I have spares around and a little extra time, I use them. But mostly, I keep *intending* to strike up some postal correspondences, but never do. I just like the idea of sending and getting letters, but mostly when I think of doing so, I imagine sending them to my various LJ friends all over, and I'm never sure to say to someone who also reads my livejournal. I mean, it's not like I'm really restrained about what I post here. :)

That's really bizarre. I didn't think they were allowed to do that kind of thing.
