I'd say "I hope Disney learnt from Dollmageddon" but the truth is they probably did learn one important lesson - keep demand limited and make it hard to purchase and people will lose their fucking minds trying to get them. I wouldn't be surprised if they use exactly the same release pattern. It'll be interesting, watching my friends list explode again.
Part of me really wants them to not touch the dolls at all this time around because of the purchasing drama it caused (I already know people who would be at the stores bright and early to get extra just to sell them on ebay and make a profit -__-), but considering Disney even went forward with ANOTHER designer collection with characters that are even more in demand than most, I wouldn't be surprised either.
I'll die if they release all of them on one day like they did with the second half of the dolls last year. omfg.
At least with the first collection, it took a while for word to get out about it. People have reported just waltzing into the store the afternoon the first couple of dolls were released and them still having multiple stock. But this time everyone's going to know from the beginning, the scalpers will already be drooling, the completist collectors will already be driving themselves into a frenzy, and the people who would want specific characters are living in dread, where part of them desperately wants more merch of their favourite character but the other part is terrified that there will be a doll of their fav and they'll have to brave the madness to get one. :(

I really really really want to know who's in the collection. The lady villains are a no-brainer: the Evil Queen, Ursula, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, Lady Tremaine. If they go for gentleman villains that's a big departure and a little risky - Disney dude dolls usually don't look as good/accurate/human as the ladies. They'd probably round out the collection with Gaston, Captain Hook, Jafar, Judge Frollo and Dr. Facilier. Maybe Yzma's in there, that would be cool.
And then again, maybe they'll only go to 8 or 9 instead of the full 10. Heck, there might just be the lady villainesses. But if there's a Facilier doll, we're in trouble. I would want that. I would want that hard core.
If they would have announced a prince collection, I would have been slightly less shocked (not that it would change my situation lol fml), but villains threw me off completely.

They released a limited edition Mother Gothel doll this year, didn't they? Or maybe she wasn't limited edition. Anyway, they still have her in my local Disney Store in the UK, so she's not a fast seller if she is limited. Maximus and Pascal, on the other hand, are like gold dust - it literally took a year for my local store to get their first shipment of them after the film. Disney's merch department must be entirely staffed by trolls, I swear.
